About All For One Brass Band:

All For One Brass Band was formed in February 2003 by young men from Warren Easton Senior High School. These young men found a passion for music at an early age and felt creating a band was the best way to stay off of the mean streets of New Orleans. Through many ties Warren Easton had on the community, Fellow band director, Michael Torregano ask Keanon Battiste to put together a brass band for a senior citizens community center located across the street from the school. From then, the band started performing along side Warren Easton marching band at various business conventions around New Orleans and several school events. From then, the All for One Brass Band was on its way.

All For One brass band began marching its way through the streets of New Orleans free of charge. They started by performing at other high schools talent shows, and school dances throughout the city.

Together, the band joined the Tipitinas Internship Program, with fellow musician Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, Jonathan Batiste and other great musicians of New Orleans. As a result, they have had the opportunity to play at numerous paid events, such as national conventions, conferences, parties, benefit concerts, and commericals …starting them on their music business career path. They also had a chance to share the stage with Erica Badu and Theresa Anderson while interning.

In 2004, the band was called to travel abroad to open a few shows in Finland and Germany opening for the likes of Angie Stone, Macy Gray, Stevie Wonder, Vann Morrison, and Alicia Keys.

The biggest hurdle came in 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit and changed the city of New Orleans. Everyone in the band lost there home, and all instruments. The band was displaced all over the state of texas where some members still resides today. After Katrina the band got together for parties here and there but never officially got back together. Now 8yrs later. All for one, is back on the scene with some new and old members. Now All For One continues to play its amazing music in New Orleans in hopes of taking their talents back on the road to spread some New Orleans love with their music.
